John Legend loved her so much he signed her to his own label, Kanye West guested on her single American Boy and propelled it to No.1, she made the Mercury Prize shortlist and has just earned herself five MOBO nominations.

As if that wasn't enough, this week sees the release of her latest single, Pretty Please (Love Me). Featuring the unmistakable voice of Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo Green, it's a got a real feel-good Motown vibe about it and is taken from her critically-acclaimed album, Shine.
