Lisa survives Strictly eviction
Lisa and Brendan ended up in the bottom two, dancing for their Strictly lives against Cherie and James following Saturday's voting, whilst John trotted round the floor without a care in the world.
Lisa and Brendan had chosen to dance a samba to the 70s classic Rock the Boat. We thought the dance, the frock, (not to mention Lisa's legs!) all looked fantastic. It was a very technical dance, and a challenge we thought Lisa really rose to. But the judges weren't that impressed, in fact, Craig and Bruno nearly came to blows after Craig claimed Lisa's rolls weren't good enough. But chief judge Len said "Overall, I think Craig's talking out of his bottom. You've come out and you really impressed me", and who are we to disagree with Len?
Following the public vote, Lisa ended up in the dance-off against Cherie and James. It made for difficult viewing, both dancers threw all they had into it, but at the end of the day, the judges decided Lisa had raised her game second time round so voted to keep her.
John Sergeant waltzes on
The judges were left fuming after once again they gave John the lowest points on the night, only to see him rescued by a public vote. Even as they were voted off, James Jordan, Cherie's partner, implored the public to remember that Strictly is a dancing contest, and the viewers should vote on that basis.
But clearly enough people have seen something in John's performance to keep him on.
What do you think? Have you voted to keep John because you find his 'dancing like a Dyson' style entertaining? Or do you agree with Len, it's a travesty that we end up choosing from two people in the dance-off who shouldn't really be there? Let us know in the comments section below.
We'll be catching up with Lisa this week, when she's recovered from Sunday night, to get the latest on what's happening at Strcitly!
